25 Oct Stumbledon
Rikki Farr, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer of RIVA Audio, tells about a tennis game at the Isle of Wight between John Lennon, George Harrison, Steve Winwood, and Bob Dylan.
“I have a picture of John Lennon, George Harrison, Bob Dylan, and uh, uh, Steve Winwood playing tennis…SO BADLY!!! You have never seen. I didn’t call it Wimbledon, I called it Stumbledon!
We’d rented the house to have everybody stay and there was a beautiful barn where everyone was rehearsing. And they wanted to play tennis, and um, the legends would not be legends if anybody had seen that tennis game. It was beyond, beyond…It was like watching Monty Python on bad drugs trying to play tennis I mean, “The Ministry of Silly Shots.”
